The modeling community lost another warrior last night as Charley Bauer left us for a better place. Please be in prayer for the family during these difficult times. Charley was a c/l scale competitor and a successful one.
I don't know any arrangements yet, will post them as soon as I know anything.

I only met Charley once, but he was definitely the real deal, a modeler's modeler and a great competitor.

I will miss Charles, always enjoyed his stamina and outstanding attitude.

I met Charlie at Brodak's. He was a gentleman and a skilled scale pilot. Always enjoyed reading his articles.
I think he told me his son had something to do with the Tutor II design.
Sorry to hear this.

Charlie will be missed, he was a good guy! He was our past AMA VP, and a member of our club for many years. I judged Charlie in Scale at the Midwest Regional contests. He and his family will be in our prayers.

Sorry to hear the news. Charlie was a great guy, always taking time to answer questions and help out. I credit him as a major influence in my moving to all electric power. I'll miss him at the Circle .

i met Charlie at the 5 nationals I attended. Easy to talk to and he was full of good information and was very complimentary toward my scale efforts back in the day. He will be missed.

Charlie flew a U-2 turbine at the Nats once....

If you go to the mortuary website, they have a video of Charley and the turbine flight. I think this is it. Click on photos and videos and you'll come to it.

You'll find Charlie's son's name on the plans for the original Tutor. I think they both worked for Top Flite at one time?? Charlie is one of those guys that has just always been there. He flew here at our contest many, many times. Seems like I have known him as long as I have been flying stunt and that's along time. Fair winds and tight lines to you Charlie.
