Title: Under the Bench
Post by: Randy Ryan on November 02, 2013, 07:43:07 AM
I started by gluing scraps together from under my Dad's bench. He still has some of my "creations" Dad is an all round modeler, FF, CL & RC. My first CL airplane was a first model Firebaby powered by a Royal Spitfire. I still have that engine Dad gave it to me several years ago. I was 6 when I soloed (on Dad's shoulders).

My daughter (5) and I colored in a mis-scaled copy of White Lightening today.  (I was testing out my new Brother laser printer today.)

I remember painting and repainting stuff while Mom rebuilt Dad's combat planes when I was around 6 or 7 which was about the time I soloed as well.
