Title: So Long Ago
Post by: phil c on December 26, 2022, 11:51:54 AM
I started into model airplanes when I got a (Whoops! didn't mean for the rest to vanish)
I managed to get enough  allowance- a paper stick kit, and a Comet(?) or maybe  a different name, Saber Jet it that was very complete, but took quite a bit of work.
The other kicker was a book by Walt Musciano(?) that took you from small all wood gliders up to full-fuselage rubber  powered competition planes.
The other HUGE help was a complete hobby shop and some knowledgeable people running it.

That kicked off my career!

I started building model planes when my allowance got boosted to 15 cents.  If I remember correctly it was a Sabre wood block model, not supposed to be flown.

Hope you all got nifty  presents this year!~
