ESC and battery mounting

The pictures explain it all. Pretty straight forward. I put my new plane all together today including .5 tip weight and I am at 50 OZ . The only thing left is color and clear.

I like the speed controller platform but what holds it to the fuselage?

Is that just balsa over the top of the battery?

The method of holding the battery this way allows you to move the battey up or down. fore and aft for ballance.

Is there a button of some sort for turning it on, setting the timer, etc?

Looks great, very simple and straight forward.

I have not drilled the hole yet I am trying to find a clever spot. But It will probably go just ahead of the arming plug.

Gee Sparky, I love your ESC mount idea, I think I'll use that in my next plane... ;) The battery mount "rib" seems like a good idea also...
