Wing area for 3S 2200?

Normally, a battery is chosen for the specific plane/motor you're building.  But yesterday I was engaged in my never ending task of cleaning my workroom and found that I have nine(!) 3S 2200 mAh batteries.  Since I told a fellow club member that I'd draw up and cut out a plane kit for him, I thought it'd be just as easy to draw up a simple plane to to haul these around and cut the parts out.   Something along the lines of a Flying Models Stunt Trainer.  It'd be easy to size the fuselage to slip in the batteries:    https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=3939


I did a search in the Post Your Setup thread for "3S 2200" and did not get even one result.  So I thought I'd ask here.  I figure I could quickly build a plane using the above method and have a basic electric plane for my basic flying abilities, if I just had an idea of what size to make the wing.

It might help to know what motors you are considering.  I think that dictates the plane size more than the battery.  All of the BadAss motors will run on 3s to 6s batteries. The 23xx's will run on 2s.  I am guessing you check the wing area on some vintage designs that were for .19 size engines. 30-40" wings 250-300sq"   Electric motors are real chameleons. Change the prop and the rpm's and your .15 is now a .29.

I have a Ringmaster with the following setup:

Motor,   Cobra 2221/10 KV 1500
Battery,  Hyperion 3S 1600 70C
ESC<  Trunigy Plush 30 amp
Timer, KR.  Initial RPMs set to 9500
Weight ready to launch is 25 oz.
Prop APC electric 9x6

So I would say a Ringmaster size ship (or some bigger) would work.
  Ringmaster:
Wing Span: 42 in.
Plane Length: 27-3/4 in.
Wing Area: 382 sq. in.
Engine: .15 - .40

I suppect up to 400 sq in would be appropriate.   Also desired run time factures in.  For sport I run 4 minutes (enough for an 83 year old).  Most folkes run 5.5 minutes. The time it takes to do a full pattern.

At the 2021 Brodak contest, I won a Brodak F-51 Mustang built by Dennis Adamisin and set up for electric power.  It uses 3S x 2200 mAh batteries.  It is a fun little flyer --- I won Warbird Stunt at the Roanoke Rapids meet and placed in the top 3 in several Profile Stunt meets.  The Brodak F-51 is a re-kit of the old Sterling F-51.  Specs are as follows:

wingspan:  38"
wing area:  323 sq in
weight:  24 oz
lines:  .012" x 60'
batteries:  3S 2200mAh
motor:  Cobra 2808/22 1330kV
ESC:  BadAss Rebel 25A
timer:  Brodak FM-0c
prop:  APC 9x6 electric (pusher)
motor speed:  9600 rpm, measured on the ground with a Royal digital tachometer

This set-up gives me a lap time of 5.2 seconds, I can complete the modern stunt pattern in +/- 5 minutes, and I set the timer to stop at 5:30 total run time.  To date, I have 127 flights on it.
