Hi guys,
Where are you getting your A123 batteries, individual cells? I have a friend that wants to buy a few hundred of them. Igor, and others, do you know of a distributor? TIA for your help. :-)

Rudy,
Try MaxAmps
http://www.maxamps.com/products.php?cat=62
or
A123 Racing
http://www.a123racing.com/html/racingPacks.html
or use DeWalt 36 volt battery packs from eBay and take them apart.

Hi Kim,
Thanks for the info. We are still looking for a more direct source. But the ones you gave are fine for us individual users. :-)
If anyone is looking for 123 battery packs that are ready to use, and cost less than other suppliers, you may try my friends at:
http://www.sincityjets.com/store-batteries.htm
They also have an excellent 12V, 20 Amp power supply for around $75. It is way cool, with two cooling fans and blue lights inside showing through the lightning holes in the metal case. This is a very light unit that is also small in size. It comes with THREE sets of female banana plugs mounted to the case so you can plug in THREE chargers at once! Perfect for our ECL use. It is in the "Accessories" section.

Rudy,
I know that there may be a more "direct" vendor to purchase the 100's of batteries you need but A123 Racing IS the manufacturer!
The cheapest way to get 100 cells is to purchase 10 Dewalt DC9360 36volt batery packs and take them apart.
Here is the search link fro Ebay:
