ECL Legacy...
« on: June 05, 2012, 07:54:09 PM »
Flew my first two patterns with an ECL plane ever tonight with my Legacy... admittedly it is pretty heavy and unfortunately that makes it not the greatest conversion; however, it has lots of power and still turns really well so all in all I consider it a success.

Hi Chris

WELCOME to ECL!

Read the specs on your conversion over in the List you Set-ps thread - 65 oz does not sound too heavy for a Legacy.  I think if you can slow it down a little (say 5.3 laps) you will find even more corner, and save quite a bit of battery drain.  Should you want to try a governing system, you could change out the timer to the KR timer, available thorugh RSM.  It should work very well with the other compnents you have in your system.

WOAH - just read your setup - a bit over overkill there on the pack !!!

I have a legacy that weighs about the same but i use 4s 3000mAh packs and it still does the pattern with ease with enough head room in the pack to keep it safe..........try a 12 x 6 prop too - the 13x4 is gonna suck a lot of power for nothing....
