I am in the middle of converting an ARC Oriental to electric. My battery and power system pretty much fill up the fuselage compartment. I know I need to have good air circulation.
I would like to know some ideas about how to mount the battery. It is huge; a 3300 three cell battery. I am thinking of having it partially exposed to the airflow and not completely enclosing the battery and electrics.
I am new to this.
I am including two photos here.
I think if I can find a good way to mount the battery so that it is easily removed for charging, but very secure and sturdy, I am in good shape.
Ideas welcome.
I think I want to mount the battery on the starboard side of the fuselage. It would be partially exposed in that case.
Power system is from Eric Rule of RSM. It is a turnkey package and will be installed as you see it.
