Okay, here it is, hot off the press! Buddy Jeff Traxler of Toledo, Ohio, has won beginner stunt at the nats flying an electric powered All American PHD.
Jeff also laid claim to being the first national stunt champ at any level to fly electric. (And it had to be the year I wasn't there to help.) Hmmmm - maybe THAT'S the answer! My not being there HELPED! LL~ LL~
Jeff has practiced hard and is so very teachable that he certainly deserves it. Way to go, Pard! #^ #^ #^ #^

Major CONGRATS to Jeff! He has been working hard and deserves it.
HOWEVER
The first American National Champ was the young man who's name I cannot remember who won Senior last year...
-
The odds are good that the Walker Cup winner with also be flying electric.
-
sr champ last year was Sam Nebiel from fla.

Hey guys,WOOOOOO WHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!Thanx for the kind words.First, second,or fiftieth to win the nats with electric is just the thrill of a lifetime!!!!They kicked me out of beginner on July 4th and I attempted my first full pattern on the 5th and struggled through it.One of my vertical 8's did a touch and go but my electric Ringmaster just climbed out and did the second 8 and finished the pattern. The outside squares scared the bajoosas out of me and the cloverleaf looked a bit like it was sprayed with a little herbacide but I would have at least got a 10 point score and my pattern points. Many thanx to Howard Rush and Keith Trostle for taking time to help me get a bit of a warp out of my wing and letting me practice with them the Saturday night before I flew.At this level of competition electric is an advantage and someday I might learn how to make an engine run properly just to say I did but I have another ladder to climb and I am on a mission so that can wait. All for now,I gotta go practice some outside squares!!!!Jeff
