OK guys just how bad is it when you find the battery warm and puffed up a bit after flying? Is it and indication of damage? Once the battery cooled down the puffy appearance when away and the battery looked normal. Larry Renger will attempt to charge them up for use tomorrow. The battery is a 2200ma LiPoly and not very expensive we are just curious to know if it is safe to continue using it.

Once they "puff" they are not long for this world. They will continue for a few more charges, and then they will deterioriate in their storage capability. I have found that the cell that has "puffed" is bad, and the discharge voltage is going to be lower than the remainder. I have replaced the offending cells with other cells (the good ones) from other "like" size batteries that have also "puffed" and continued for many more charges.
Short of replacing the offending cell, life is short for that battery.

Thanks Paul, I figured something like that. Oh well it was not an expensive battery.
