Larry,
Great looking ship. What prop do you plan to use (APCE 13x4.5P)? Also is the battery a 5S1P or 4S1P?

I like the top loader will the hatch be held on with magnetize?

Best,    DennisT

Dennis: Yes a top loader with a Bob Violet spring latch, the prop. will start with APC 13-4.5 EP  and 4-cell / 5-cell  might even try a 12-8 EP lower RPM . I also have Platt. 30-12 & 25-12 to try.

I have seen Ampura in person and can testify to the excellent workmanship and innovative design. Larry had this model pretty far along before PTG unveiled Elroy, and the two share some features in common, evidently by coincidence. Cooling tunnels and ducting around the spinner are similar, with top loading hatch with ESC downstairs. I think we are seeing the future of CLPA in models like this, and of course Dennis' unique model (name escapes me, sorry Dennis). With luck and good painting weather Larry should have this in the air by spring contest time.

3 Questions :

1: What are the carbon undercarts your Using. They look like the ones on the bear
2: How are you doing the fillets for the TA wing.
3: How do you find the Tom morris TA hardware - I hear good things.

P J : The landing gear is from Randy Smith
The fillets are made out of Balsa wood like a 1/2" larger rib mounted to fuselage and shaped.
The Tom Morris T/A system easy to use. y1
