Title: Updating Castle Firmware
Post by: Ron Hook on January 19, 2011, 10:42:08 PM
I have a Castle 45 ESC that is presently using firmware version 2.11. Since I have not used this ESC for a while, I checked the Castle web site and see that a newer version of firmware for this ESC is available. Is upgrading to the newer version of firmware advisable?

Thanks for the help.

Ron,

You are way out of date but having said that, if 2.11 is working for you you don't necessarily have to upgrade.

Go here and you can read what each update adds/fixes and then decide what to do.

If it is working fine I would not change it. Often the updates cannot be returned to what previously worked and its not unusual to have lots of issues resetting up. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
