Sooo ah, I guess I was lucky enough to meet the only 3 good guys in the C/L Stunt world.  None of you guys have been helped, mentored, encouraged, or taught by other guys. I think NOT ! 

That is probably one of the reasons I miss going to the NATS and a few other contests.  It is the people.

The people who taught & mentored you all had the same last name no ?

There have been many that I have been pleased to meet and gain knowledge from.  Two "lesser known" gentlemen are Winky Chatfield who taught me to actually fly a C/L model and Tom Luper who has always been a helping hand for over 20 years.

Of the "known" guys, Billy Werwage, Bob Hunt, Randy Smith, Tom Dixon, Windy, Ted Fancher, Bob Whitely, Brett Buck, Paul Walker, Bob Gieseke, Tom Hampshire, Allen Brickhaus, Dale and Derek Barry, Charlie Reeves, Pat Jonston, Al Rabe, Ron Burn, "PaPa" Dave  Hemstraught, Tom Lay, Big Jim Greenaway, Bob "Champione" Lampione and a few others have helped in many ways.  I have had the great pleasure of meeting these guys and am not shy to call on them to help with a "problem".  The great thing about this hobby/sport is that everyone, including the very best, are more than willing to be of help.  And I get to do this with my oldest son which makes it all the better!

Certainly a LOT but they were not alone.  I was (am) a sneaky SOB I watched everybody, talked to them, looked over their stuff and learned all I could - still do.  Sidebar lessons included learning to laugh about our addiction and keeping "perspective" - that lesson continues unabated.

Being a newbie stunt flyer, I can certainly relate to watching everybody, and trying to learn all I can from them.  As far as keeping perspective goes I think "diagonally parked in a parallel universe" says it all !! 

Yes Bill.  Dennis has helped me a bunch also. I find he has helped a whole lot of people get started in electric C/L. He is a fine example of what I was talking about when I started this thread. I refer to him and a few others as "THE BEST". 

I used a technique Dennis shared on SH for his through the firewall mounting system on my recently inspired E Shark 45 project for Classic next season.I used .060 CF plate sandwiched by two 1/8" pieces of lite ply to add extra gluing surface to the edges of the CF.My new Adamisin inspired firewall mount weighs in at 6.7 grams replacing the Maple ones that came with the kit weighing in at 64.2 grams.All of the Adamisins are an overflowing abundance of information and willing to share.THANX GUYS!!!
