Title: Traveling by Air with Batteries
Post by: Howard Rush on January 20, 2020, 12:56:05 PM
What are current European rules regarding carry-on lithium batteries?  I read somewhere that Germany would confiscate batteries, but Lufhansa's Web site says that batteries up to 100 W-hours are OK.  I am interested in flying to Amsterdam or Frankfurt from the US this summer.

Guys, if you have problems with batteries for Wloclawek (or chargers or whatever) and I can help somehow (order locally etc) let me know.

We have had no problems carrying up to 4 batteries the size we use within Europe. Last time on a flight with a connection in Frankfurt. They have to be carried in hand luggage, protected and with the terminals isolated. It's better to take them out of the bag at security checkpoints.
