Title: Thunder Power battery packs - best price
Post by: Dennis Toth on August 28, 2009, 06:14:31 AM
 Guys,
I am going to purchase a couple TP 3850mah 4S1P packs and thought I'd ask the group what vendors have the best price?

I saw them as low as $145 but that vendor is out of stock. Does TP sell direct? Hobby-Lobby seems to have a good supply but they don't have anything great as far as price.

I get mine from a company in Canada---they advertise in RCGroups. So far it has worked for me. I am not sure they are the cheapest.

RCToys is indeed the best place to purchase any Thunder Power product from.

Guys,

Has anyone tried the TP3900-4SPL2 is a 4 cell 3900mAh 14.8V  pro lite 2  20C? I found rctoys and they have this pack at $154 it weights 362g. I was a little confused by the description as it's not clear from the listing if it is a 4s1P pack or something different. It seems to have dimensions of the 4S1P size pack and could be a great ECL pack for stunt.

Hi Dennis
I have tried the TP3900mah14.8v proliteV2 Their weight is 12.8 oz.They are lighter
than the TP3850 batteries which are 13.6 OZ. They are available from Atlanta Hobbies and Esprit for $154.99. If you join Atlanta Club they are $124.99 plus free shipping. They are slightly smaller than TP3850 or Evo lite 4270  4S batteries.

Walt,

Can you join the club and get the discount with the first order or do you need to join the club and then place the order to get the discount?

Best,          Dennis

Walt,

Thanks for the Atlanta Hobby tip (https://www.atlantahobby.com/). I joined the Electron Club for $34 first (it is on the right side of the web home page). After that cleared (email conformation) I logged back in and placed an order for three of the Thunder Power - TP3900mah14.8v proliteV2 packs at $124 each. Basic savings was $35 off each pack (their regular price is $159 each) so with the cost of the $34 club membership I saved $71. Not bad!

Thanks again,               DennisT
