Aren't they the people that charge double then have a half price sale?

Yes. Just remember that if you buy them when they aren't half off they are twice as good. Eric

FWIT, TP assembles the batteries here in the US(Vegas) and matches the cells(made overseas). Cell matching can't be over emphasized.... = longevity.
And, the customer service is top notch.

Had some Gens Aces once upon a time- customer service non-existent; at least when I sought help.

I think they also have a no fault crash damage policy, where you can replace a crashed pack (like the one that Crist now has) for like half price.

Is Thunder Power getting ready to release a new cell design? The nano technology is going to help get out pack weight down significantly and its about time for TP to move into this, but they need to sell down the older technology - maybe? We can hope!

Just bought 2 of the High Voltage Series batteries for the price of one. This is the newest version. They start at
3500 Mah. Mine are 6s they are just a bit larger but they can still fit in my plane. With the right charger they can
be charged at 4.35v per cell. They weigh about a ounce more than my 2700 6s TP batteries I use now.
Thanks Bob.

Hmmm.. not sure if you are aware of the High Voltage series has very low current output vs the Prolite series..  For Example: The 6S 3300 Prolite's Max cont current is  82.5 A,  and max burst is 165A,  and the High Voltage series has only 21Amp, and max burst is 35A.

I'm aware of the numbers thanks, I've looked at them before buying them. The only thing I don't know is the C rating
which TP said was lower but they don't say my guess it's at or below 20c. But I think they will be just fine will find out soon enough  S?P

Their free shipping is painfully slow. Took 4 business days just to process the order. If you order on a wed thru fri it will be 6 days before they process it. Also, takes a day to ship it. After a week it's finally in the slowest form of mail service available and getting hung up at every point. I wonder if they're that slow when you pay for shipping. Today is the end of day 11 with 2 more to go per tracking info.

Yes, they are slow. I bought my TP batteries from Atlanta hobby, and they did take a week or more to get here.
Hyperion from rcdude is faster by a bunch. Just two days.
Both seem to be really good cells.

You need at least 12C. Here are the numbers:

Max Cont. Discharge: 6C

Max Cont. Current: 21A

Max Burst: 10C

Max Burst Current: 35A

The max continuous current is too low as is the "C" rating.
Not for control line.

FWIW:

TP packs are assembled in Las  Vegas from cells manufactured abroad.

Then, like all lipos ,  they  require ground shipping.

That explains the shipping time difference for me between Atlanta Hobby and RC Dude. RC Dude is much closer.

Has anyone else noticed the 4s TP batteries you got on sale have an internal resistance of about 36 right out of the box? I have Hyperion packs with dozens of flights on them that are in that ballpark.

MM

Edit: Just found out new batteries show more IR until they are broken in so, that would explain it as I haven't charged them yet.
