TACON Big Foot 32 poles
« on: October 23, 2015, 11:44:32 PM »
does any one know the actual pole count of the Tacon Big Foot 32 motor?
The site says 6 but I think that is wrong. I count 12 stators inside the motor.
Thanks in advance.

It says turns, then poles.  I could believe 6 turns, but I haven't seen a 6-pole outrunner.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Count the magnets.  That will tell you how many poles it has.

Just a guess but it is probably 14. That is a common pole count (given 12 sets of coils) .

The Tacon motors are a very nice motor and smooth powerfull runners.
have used them for a few years flying RC and now in to a future CL build.
