Title: Taller landing gear for Vector 40?
Post by: JohnPrator on February 17, 2011, 07:19:25 AM
I know I read somewhere that a vendor makes the larger landing gear needed for the Vector 40 electric conversions, can someone point me towards vendor/s that offer the larger gear for the Vector 40? Will this upsized gear still use the stock pants included with the kit? Much appreciated!!

John

per my PM to you - just grab the gear and give them a light "tweak" toward each other - I have used up to 13.25" APC on the stock landing gear doing this  - dont bend it too much tho - two things happen - 1) the flat part that mounts to the fuse bows and you cant install them, 2) the wheels get cantered in - and dont track straight............

dont even need to say "ask me how I know" so I wont.

Got your email Wynn, thank you! Going to do as you recommend and should be fine as I'm only using an 11-5.5, will be careful too!
