Anybody using these? They look a little heavy compared to the commonly used motors but the ratings for all but one size achieve the "3 gram rule" which came up on another thread. That's more than can be said for the a lot of usual suspects. Pricing looks reasonable, not super cheap but not high priced either.

At 11 ounces for a .46 size motor it is heavy. Good for R/C but not so good for us, in my opinion.

Looks like they have repeated the errors of others with misleading (worthless!) IC equivalents. What they call a "46", is way larger than anything we are using in "46" sized applications. The "25" size motor is physically the same size weight (and likely power) as the E FLite Power 25, AXI 2826, Scorpion 3026 Arrowind 2826, and Turnigy 35-48 whcih we routinely use to turn 12" to 13" props.

Aside from that mini-rant, I'd say these look like another new good looking family of motors we can be putting to the test!

You bring up a real good point Dennis and one that has led many modelers astray. These glow size designations are very off base when you look at power at the prop. Like People equating an axi 2826/12 to a 20 size motor. Lets see a .20 size motor fly an SV-11 like that motor does. Turnigy just brought out a new line of equivalent designated motors, the G series. I ordered two of the G15's for an RC OV-10 Bronco I have thinking that the motors would be about .15 power. Well, they weigh 6.9 oz! That is more than the s8ss6/12! We are much better off having accurate size, weight, and kv designations and going thru the learning curve of dealing with them than this equivalent size business.

That's exactly what I was thinking, Dennis, which is why I posted the question since I'm very much wet behind the ears in this 'lectric stuff.

I made the typical error, without checking the spec beyond the weight I took their word that it was equivalent to a .46 IC. Dennis is right that using the vendor info on what IC engines these motors are designed to replace is a waste of time. I have no clue how they come up with the numbers. It makes our job more difficult, we have to drill down into the spec to get the real information.
