Source for bulk purchase of Deans Plugs?
« on: September 20, 2020, 02:53:12 PM »
As I'm getting ready to complete the wiring on my S1 Ringmaster I need to set up some batteries with Deans plugs. I'm looking for a source to buy like 10 or 20 sets at a time rather then the 1 or 2 in a pack. I have seen the ones on eBay and after doing some
searches on them, it seems they have a body that melts easily. Anyone have a source for a good quality Deans plug bulk purchase?

I have had good luck with the eBay cheepy T-Plugs.  The trick is to plug in a mating connector when soldering.   This acts as an extra heat sink and holds the pins in alignment if the shells get soft.   Also I have good soldering iron with small tip.  This allows me to control the temp.  A soldering gun may be good for tanks but will burn up most any connector.

I order 10 of each (male and female) on Amazon for under $10.

Do yourself a favor and switch everything to XT-60 before you’re heavily entrenched in the Dean’s connectors. They operate (plug/unplug) much smoother.
Amazon sells a good one, Amass brand, in bulk.
I have seen the light, and it’s powered by a lipo.

I buy EC3's in bulk on Ebay or Amazon, generally sets of 10 m/f with pins for about $5

I ordered from Hobbyking site only needed male ends, the 10 pack of the Nylon T connector Male plugs  SKU: 606Bx10, $2.65. They also have pairs and female ends. It is a good deal if you don't need them in a hurry. Only thing I didn't care for was the shipping cost is three times the cost of the product. But still less then buying them in packs of two for almost $6.
