Would it be safe to Dremel off the shaft projecting out the rear
of bulkhead mounted AXI 2826/10 motor?, need the space in the
battery compartment , Anybody please ?

As long as you leave the circlip on, I see no reason---except you won't be able to turn the motor around and have a front mounted motor in the future.

Like Allen said, NO PROBLEM.
I have over 100 flights on my AXI with the shaft cut off. I was not sure how important the shaft wheel collar was, but I left it on (in addition to the C clip) to be sure. Like you, I needed the extra room for the Battery.
In the future I will be using a front mount and keep the shaft for the prop. This is so I can use the rear fan units for better cooling.

Be carefull, otherwise all that trash from cutting will end up on your magnets.

Igor,
That is an excellent point. I forgot to mention that I cut my shaft off (Yikes, that does NOT sound good!) by mounting my motor to a piece of 1/8" x 4" x 6" ply that has a hole in it just big enough for the shaft to go through. I think (hope?) this is big enough to keep anything from getting into the magnets.
