Scorpion ESC with governor mode
« on: January 24, 2008, 06:55:54 PM »
Not much happening here, so I thought I would at least post that Scorpion (http://www.innov8tivedesigns.com/) is now marketing ESC's which have governor modes--I have seen the announcement and specs over on RCGroups (see link below at the bottom). I haven't seen them posted as yet to the site I show above. Pricewise they are similar to the Jeti Spin, but the control modules are, as far as I understand, included with the price, and are IR controlled. They look like they have more options than the CC Phoenix ESC.

I don't have either the Jeti or the Scorpion, so take this announcement with several grains of salt!

But I thought we needed a little more action here on this forum!

By the way, I think the Electric Forums on RCGroups are actually pretty good and informative on Electric Flying (of course not everything is useful). Here is a link
http://www.rcgroups.com/aircraft-electric-general-357/

I particularly like the Electric Motor Design and Construction Forum. The ESC announcement is on one of the last pages on the Scorpion Motors thread on the  "Power Systems" forum.
