RSM Electric P-51 First TRIM FLIGHT ViDEO
« on: March 26, 2016, 02:53:15 PM »
Finally got the P-51 up in the air to see how she feels early today.  Flight time set for 2:30. Need to trim flaps and elevator for a bit less throw. I'll start there. Using 52' lines. Added a bit of tip weight so now it is 3/4 ounce.
It has just begun.
Did some loops, squares and inverted and wing-overs to feel it out.
Keep in mind....First Trim Flight.

Very nice shug! Looks like it's got plenty of power!
Kinda surprised the engine run didn't change upright to inverted with the tank being so high....  n~

Really nice Sean.

Seeing yours fly makes me eager to get my new one in the air. Ron Burn really did a good job designing this one for glow. It makes a very nice electric model and flies great.

Larry Renger flew his to a 532 score at the Golden State Championships last October so it is certain competitive.

All the best and thinks for taking the time to do a video of the test flight.

Thanks. Reduced throw on flaps and elevator and that calmed it down.

So far so good. Yeah...tough wiping it down after those flights.

Yessir Eric. Just some tweaks reduce some throw and adjusted leadouts. More trimming soon as we get a good non-windy day. I love the looks of it.

Really good for sneaking out to local parks. More to come....
