RSM P-51 almost done.
You know how it goes. You start. It sits. You keep seeing it barebones and naked. Then you finally do the decent thing and start to complete it. Still need to hinge it, mount motor, do lead outs and mount battery holder and finalize STP stickers and trim. Sure there are a couple more wee things to do.
Going with the Racer STP type theme. Paint and Monocote. This will be a plane to go out and practice and fly with at local parks for some sneaky stealth flying. Going to start with 55' lines.
Hope to get it circling by next week....if the winds allow.
I have the Sport .15 Complete electric package on it. 2200mah battery.
Weighs 25 ounces now.
Whan Zephirus eek with his sweete breeth
Inspired hath in every holt and heeth.

Just the canopy blue it is. Trying to keep it simple so I can get out and fly!

From the Stunt Trainer Plane Hobby and Lollygag Shop of course. Actually have had some of those stickers since I was in the 8th grade. Really.

Now just waiting for a few decals. Electronics mounted. Never love the look of that on a profile but can and will live with it. Did a tank style battery mount with 3/16 shock cork and velcro on mount and battery as well to help hold and prevent sliding. Feels real secure.

Would be nice to be able to hide all the wires/cable and associated stuff. H^^

With the battery on top of the wing, you may find it impossible to get the wings level both upright and inverted. My battery is under the outboard wing and that worked out fine.

Yessir. I avert my glance.

Now you tell me! I was truly trying to figure out the best place. The instructions are not helpful at all on that battery mount. There is a drawing on the plans but seemed ambigious. I'll see how it goes.
