Guys,
I'm thinking of trying a rear mount on my profile ship to compare it to the front mount with the rear bearing. Question - what is the design for a strong rear mount of a "46" size motor on a profile fuse?

Hi Dennis - Here's one.

Front bearing support.

Another view of bearing support.

Tom,
Very neat installation. Is that front bearing support JB welded in place?

Hi John - Yes. The ring is machined to a loose fit around the bearing OD, then the support plate, bearing and ring are assembled with JB. The motor is hung off the rear mount first, with an extension shaft slipped on the shaft to align it. Then the mounting holes into the front of the body are drilled. Best, Tom

Tom,
Thanks, I'll try your technique on my next profile.
