Hi Fred I guess I would probably start 65 feet, eyelet to eyelet, and work from there.
Hi Brent The eflite 25 is a 870. I've been flying a Vector 40 powered by a Cobra 2826-12 760 kv, castle 50 lite, hubin timer and 2650 Turnigy 4s. The set up was made using the Norms cookbook. Understand I do not understand all the whys and wherefores about this electric stuff. Anyhow, the early flights of 51/2 minutes would use about 55% of the battery. Over time, the batteries started to have less energy left at end of the flight. Maybe the model is consuming more power?? This last season I finally got to do some flights and it seemed like I was loosing line tension. I have one hyperion 2500 4s that I tried and it was like adding 10% nitro. I decided to scrap the turnigy batteries reather than waste money shipping them to Arizona. Then the TP sale came about and I ordered four new 2800 4s for the Vector 40. Figuring on that, I thought maybe a five cell would be okay for a bigger model. So I ordered some 2800 5s and a new charger. I just happen to have a e-flite 25, I didn't know it was limited to 4 cells. I guess I will need to buy another motor or get some bigger mill 4s??
Thank you fellas for your help. Hopefully, this will generate some more comments..............
