Hi Jim,
The 1/2a Patfinder uses a Arrowind 2210 motor, 18A ESC, Hubin FM-0c timer and 3Sx1300 pack. Turns a 7x5 pusher with the power of a good 09-15.
The Baby Clown uses the Arrowind 2205 motor, 12A ESC, Hubin FM-0e timer and 2Sx850 pack. TUrns a 6x5.5 prop, power of a Medalian 049.
There is also an ultra-light 020 system using the 1806 motor, 12A ESC, Hubin FM-0c & 2Sx450 pack. Intent is to fly a 1/2A sized bird with a 6x4 prop indoors on short lines. I have one of these set-up in a Swordsman 18; 4.25 oz RTF!
Forgot to mention this, the link you had in your message was to a project my nephew did with is son. A TERRIFIC story...

You may even try this thread. http://stunthanger.com/smf/index.php?topic=15037.0
It worked great until the stab broke on the bottom of an outside loop. HB~> HB~> Stupid punk Balsa. I knew better. Wing is repairable so I hope to convert it to a combat Streak with full fuse.
The light outruners will equate to a lower RTF weight and still make the power. Really depends on what type of performance you want.
