What glue is best to secure the mount to the fuselage?

I used "Bob Smith Industries" 30-minute epoxy on my profile 3D mount for Okie Air Model Products.

The other thing I forgot to mention regarding the mount is roughing up all the glue surfaces. I also enlarged the cast in-place dimples to allow for a better glue surface. This may be an overkill but I sleep better at night. ;D

No I don't have a 3D printer. These mounts can be purchased from Okie Air Model Products. Russel has two versions, one for profiles and one for a built-up fuselage. https://okieair.com/shop/ols/products/printed-motor-mount (https://okieair.com/shop/ols/products/printed-motor-mount)
You can get them with built-in motor offset for Bad Ass, Cobra, EFlite and Plettenburg motors. But you will need to ask Russel about the offset as I don't see a way to select it on the website.

I have almost 70 flights on my Circulas 46 IIe profile with the 3D mount from Okie Air Model Products with a Cobra 3515-18 motor. So far it appears to be working very well and is very solid. As far as the plastic that is use, I don't know.

Hi Howard. I am the source for the mounts. They are made with petg. Specifically, this petg:

The first mounts were made with pla and there was one heat failure. "Hot day in Texas" yada yada..... ::) so I switched to the petg. Slightly higher glass temp but much more gradual failure mode. ABS and PC are options but a pita to print. I have a couple mounts I made for extreme situations made from PC.

Thanks for the information and the link. PLA vortex generators distort on a hot day. I suspect Dali used PLA to print clocks.

For sure and maybe his glasses.... Also, petg is much less affected by uv..
