RSM Distribution is pleased to announce that after extensive flight testing we now have available "plug & play" electric power systems.
Please visit the Vendors Corner for more details or our web site www.rsmdistribution.com

Experimenters should run and hide, they need not apply. Andy Borgogna thoroughly tests these systems by actually flying them! Repeatedly! I know, I turn on the switch, and even hold the handle now and then. Buy it, use it, plug and play. If you want to fiddle, fuggeddaboudit! n1

Eric: CONGRATS & THANK YOU for bringing out the new systems. It is getting easier all the time to select all the pieces!
Andy: Appreciation & kudoes for the hard work that went into your testing and development.

Yes, the Plug-and-Play electric systems are a good way to get started in the electric control line game!! Brodak also offers P-&-P setups so you have a choice. These systems tend to be a bit more expensive than ones you can "fiddle" together by shopping around yourself but a system that you know will work may well be worth the extra expense.
For those that are on a tight budget, go to the top of this forum and scope out the "List your setup" thread and you will find known working setups for many different CL models listed. Some of the setups are cheap and some are top of the line expensive.
However you choose to go (P-&-P or "fiddled" together), do give electric control line a try -- I don't think you will be sorry. y1

Denny and Larry
Thanks for the kind words guys. Last night with Eric's permission I presented to our club the process I use to test and fly all the motors that RSM markets. And yes some motors don't pass the test and are not sold. I have the following electric platforms in my garage: 1/2 Pathfinder, P-51 Mustange, NaughtyGirl, Continental, Flite Streak, ALL American Sr. and last but not lease a Top Flite Score. All of these planes are electric, they allow me to test motors from 1/2a equivalent to . 60 size with just about everything in between. I test with the various ESCs that RSM markets and all with the KR timer/governors both version 1 and version 2 with all the firmware packages. I work closely with Eric Rule and Keith Renecle, and I am available for help to anybody who needs it. I have also written several document and articles designed to help people just starting out to get into electric with the least pain and at a cost that will fit their budget. I also dabble in R/C electric as well. I ave even helped Larry put together a hybrid R/C assisted power system for Larry Renger's control line trainer to teach first timers to fly.
If I am lucky someday I may know half as much and either Denny or Larry until then I will just keep trying.

Went to the RSM site and found it really helpful. I like the idea of plug and play option. Makes it simple for the beginner in electric.
