RSM Electric P-51D Mustang

Has anyone built the RSM Electric P-51 D Mustang?  How did it fly?  What line length?  Pictures?   The price seems right if it is a good flyer.

Contact Larry Renger. He flew one at the 2012 Golden State in Advanced Stunt and scored 503.5. Judges were RJ Whitely and Dave Fitzgerald so you know they were not giving away any points!

Andy Borgogna did all of the electric powered field testing on the model. Reuban MacBride in Las Vegas is also currently flying one.

The designer of the model is Ron Burn who did a fabulous job with the model.

The basic design works great, and as we gain experience it is being improved. We have tweaked the contruction and aerodynamics to make it even easier to build and trim out than the original.  Andy B, Eric and I have all contibuted lto the current design, which was good to start with.

Due to Eric's manufacturing techniques, upgrades in design are easy to implement, so we do!

I can heartilly recommend it for competition flying at least up to Advanced level (which is what I fly). By the way, that 500+ point flight was without any appearance points. Even 10 appearance points would have gotten me a trophy! And, even so, I beat a few piped models with beautiful finishes.  ;D

I believe we are flying on 52 ft of .012 line with an RSM hard point exponential handle.

John;

Here's the electric power set up:
Motor - KDA A22-20L
ESC - ZTW 30 amp with BEC
Timer - KR Governor
Battery - LP2200 3S 25C
Prop - APC 9X6EP

All connectors are soldered on for you. The entire system is bench tested prior to inclusion in the kit. All programming is already done (RPM, start delay, flight time, gain <that's the electronic tuned pie effect>).

All you have to do is to build the P51, mount the power system, charge the battery, flip the switch and fly. Like everything else we offer this product is guaranteed to work properly. If it doesn't we will repair what's wrong, replace the product or refund your money!

Regards
Eric Rule
