Title: Phoenix ICE Lite 50 installation
Post by: ChrisSarnowski on January 31, 2011, 09:15:27 AM
Looking at the ICE Lite 50, it is tempting to put a piece of velcro on the side with the label and stick it to the inside of the fuselage wall.

However there is a metal heat sink under the label. It looks like it is only contacting one component, so I'd guess it's for the BEC. If that's true then would using that side to mount it seems like it would be ok.

The other side of the ESC is not particularly flat and there's no heat sink. But that's the side where the motor wires are soldered and there are some components that could be power transistors.

What do you guys recommend?

Thanks,
Chris

try this method - works a real treat!

I buy the cable tidies from a local hardware store for a couple of dollars - they are light and are easy to open /close
