More than likely it is shutting down from over current. An amp clamp on one of the motor leads can guide you, or you can look at the logged data if you have the type of speed controller that allows this.

Remember when running it on the ground, there is a lot more "load" on the system and you could burn up your motor/system if you are not careful.  My system uses a 12 x 4.5 prop and uses about 1800mah when flying, on the ground I use a 8 1/2 x 6? prop to simulate the flying load.
