Non-puffing batteries - brand?
« on: September 15, 2011, 07:28:45 AM »
Guys,
I have been using Thunder Power Pro Lite batteries for a couple years. One thing I noticed was that after about 6 months of relatively light use they tend to buff about 1/16" ish over the new out of the package size (4S1P - 3900). They hold the charge and work fine but they now are a tight fit into the battery compartment. In my Stuka the smaller 2100 mah was a close fit to begin with and I didn't know that TP packs are nicknamed "Puffer". I like the light weight of the TP's but need a pack that holds shape a little better. Anyone have recommendations?

Best,        DennisT

U can try the Hyperion's. They weigh more but the weight is the same for every battery and after over 50 plus flights of full bore use the two I have haven't puffed not once. With that being said TP has the new 25c batteries out. They
weight a bit less than the Pro Lites. I haven't tried them yet bit I plan to.
