Title: new zigras power settings vs rpm on the older pot?
Post by: bob branch on April 27, 2007, 09:00:29 PM
Got my new electric smoothie into the air today. Used the same power system as before with the older zigras timer with the pot. I had set it up for 9800 rpm on the pot in governor mode. Now I have put in the new zigras timer that allows power output to be selected digitally by 2% increments. Can anyone give me a few % power settings and coresponding rpms they have found the Axi 2826/10 on a 4 cell lipo to put out so I have a reference to start from. Hate to waste an entire battery or two narrowing it down if someone can give me some data.

Thanks,

Bob Branch

Hi Bob,
If you have a pulse width meter, then 10,000 RPM is right about 1380 microseconds.
If you don't, then ... Sorry, I've got nuttin' fer ye!
Vexa RC make a nice one, and Radio South (say hello to Tony for me) makes a less expensive and perfectly good one.
Hunt inherited mine!

Let us know what you end up with!

I am not sure here, but couldnt you use a tach, set it, run it, read the tach, shut it down and adjust it  by how many percent different you want the rpm?

Mark

That is the approach I am taking. 80% appears to produce 10200 rpm.
