I was so happy with my E-Sultan for 2011 that I made a brand new one for 2012.Basically the same , but one or two little changes. Front mounted motor is installed from the front, so there is more air inlet area.I made it top loading.I added an air outlet to the top , as well as the one on the bottom .ps .Lettering font is called Black Chancery. Keith,
looks pretty nice,,Hope it flies as good as it looks for you
-
Keith,
Your E- Sultan is very appealing to the eye. Is it paint or Monokote? Outstanding workmanship !
-
Very nice Keith. I agree, some detailed photos please.

OUT-freakin-STANDING Very nice job on the front motor mount. Top air outlet slots look good too.
-
That is awesome looking Kieth!! Should be a winner for you!
-
Very nice Keith! H^^ I like the cooling vent slots, and seems to looks better with the longer nose.
-
That looks nice, Keith.
Do you plan to use a rear support on the motor?

Last year I only needed the front mount, so I expect that it will be fine again this year with only the front mount. It strikes me that a front mount , has the motor on one side of it , and the spinner and prop on the other side of it , to balance out the forces as much as possible. In other words I have confidence that it will be nice and solid. The 4 metal arms mount to a 1/4" ply ring , with blind nuts installed. It is just a matter of how well it is glued to the fuselage sides . I did build up a fillet of epoxy , milled glass fibers, on the inside. The 1/4" ply mount is actually right across the front of the fuse sides , not merely glued inside the 1/32" ply doublers. Keith

Nice job Keith! I'm looking forward to seeing you, Chris, and Alan at the NW Regional's this year!

Must be a new season coming up. Even Mr. Varley is delving into a bit of self-promotion.
I will wait to drool on this model when I actually see it. And only if it is deserved. Keith has a real bad habit of fudging his pictures. And for the past few years he has had PTG's wife paint all his models.

That's right. And all you have to do is taunt me just one more time, whereupon I will blab it far and wide.
Terrific model. As always.
My best,

Thats a great looking plan Keith. Makes me want to drop what I'm doing and start one now. Love the front loading motor.
