Hi Guys!
I start my project of Electric CrossFire Extreme, rebuilding the wing and stab for use geo ribs through the Bob Hunt plan. :)
I start using the DevWing Cam and DevFus program for drawing all ribs and start the fuse for laser cut. It's a very intuitive program and after 2 days exploring and experiences, I can do the ribs for Wing and Stab. :D
I think it's good!
Now I'm prepare the balsa wood and lite ply in dimensions for my friend Luis Silva can cut themes #^
I leave here some drawings of my firsts steps of new project.
I'm now start thinking in Motor, ESC, Timer, Batteries and Props and trying find the best set
I have some material like Cobra 2826/12, eFlite 25, Axi 2826/10 Motors, Jeti Spin 44, JetiSpin 66 and CastleCreations IceLite 50 ESC's, APC push and pull electric props and FM9 Hubin Timer
My doubt are about batteries. I don't know if use 4S or 5S ???
One thing is for sure, with my experience with IC, I want to fly between 5.3 and 5.4 per lap 8)
Any suggestion are welcome y1
I will keep in touch for give more news and listen your comments and opinions.
Regards,
José

Hi Avaiojet!
All pictures posted staying open correctly.
I work with Google Chrome and I don't know if with I.E. or Firefox some pictures posted open or not! :(
But if you want themes, I have the pleasure to send you. :)

Jose',
The file I would be interested in would be the rib CAD file. It's in vector format.
I just sent some graphics to Norway. Porsche graphics. Cost only 12.00. I have stuff going over the pond all the time.
I'm a big hit over there. LL~

2nd Step of **CrossFire Extreme** design fuse & formers for laser cut.
Following my first post, I update my new project. Not the plan and numbers, because everybody know is excellent job of Bob, but the pleasure of learning to work with new design programs in such a short time and take advantage of them to build more accurately and lighter. #^
Of course, the choice of materials is very important, but I'm joining the best I can and find at market.
Portugal has though some aeromodelling stores, but not intended C/L and not always in the other European countries to get some stuff that we can not make, which is the case of wood. We buy but we do not have option to choose. :( :(
Usually only announce balsa wood and when we buy, we received a mix and more than half, is not to use in this kind of project.
I know too, in US, some places have good and select wood and is much more easy buying theme. For us is not the price at shop or at forum member, but the shipping charges and customs fees. Final price are very expensive. :o :o
My next step is choose/select good wood sheets in my balsa stock and prepare for laser cut. :)
I want to make a thank you to Allan Resinger and Chris Cox by exchanging emails and the information they sent me about the there's CrossFire evolution :D
I leave here a picture of the other parts of the model that drew in autocad after a week dedicated to learning how to work with this program.
After passing this stage and if all goes for the best when it comes to the design to be correct and the parts are to fit well, I will put at forum the files to anyone and since Bob Hunt permits.
Till next step.
Regards,
José

Olá José, tudo bem?
How do I get a copy of those gorgeous cad files?
I'm trying to come up with cutting drawings for a design, but there's a few things that I'm having trouble with, and it would nice to look at ow a pro does it.
Are you using a program to generate the ribs? i had to manually interpolate my ribs, but the process would not work on and elliptical design.
Thanks

Hey Avaiojet, thanks
I know about Cremon, I'm also on the waiting list for Chupim.
What interested me most about José's project is the wing design and also the "electric nose". Our project is also electric, I'd like to check out José's approach.
But thanks nevertheless.
