NEW MODEL SHELL COMPOSITE "E" IMPACT MASTER

I'm building and all composite Electric Impact Master and would like to share the building of this model with the Electric comunity. BTW the model will be BOM compliant.
Whats and Impact Master? the IM series was started by me as a composite model in 2002. The model combines the Impact with the Pattern Master  51 wing.
 IN 2009 I started to build a composite Impact,the Impact,fuse stab molds were made,the wing molds were not finished on time but the 51 Pattern Master wing molds were, I combined the Impact fuse and stab with the PM51 wing and built it with PM moments(hinge to hinge). The aero dynamics(engine,wing,stab placement were impact.)
So the "Impact master".
 The composite shell wings are built in a Bob Hunt L.F.W.(lost Foam wing) jig.
after the recent BOM decision my plans for producing composite kits had to change. Solid  flying surface with fiberglass  cloth were no longer allowed.
in 2002 I was not satisfied at the weights of the wing panels and i started to cut solid panels to mimic an open bay wing the following system for building an open bay composite wing were developed. NOTE: if the model is not intended for the Nat's competition  then wings can be left solid cut outs not required.

Norm and Neal thanks. Sina,William and I are working hard to comply with the BOM for Nat's as it pertains to fiberglass composite models.
Norm currently using the Plattenberg motors with Shultzie controller.
 I have followed your post on your "E" Sultan love how clean your motor installation is. Also your building techniques.

Dean this is the opening line of my post.
Dean real relevant to the "E" comunity just building in  different way.
I thought you would like a little out of the box thinking. why not Enjoy the advantages of E power with a different building system that most are not familiar with.
Dean how do you like my engine venting. may add two (2) vents a little bellow the side vents. trying to eliminate dead air spots in cowl. also planning on segregating the ESC with direct fresh air and exhaust vents, same for battery compartment.
Dean any thinking on inserting baffles, to reduce air flow when flying in cold air. specially early in season for batteries.

Hi Jose,
I was gonna ask you for component temps once you get it in the air!

Everything you've done looks like you've thought it through ... maybe even overkill. I like overkill!
The battery cooling is best if segregated from everything else, so that you can choke it off in cool weather in order to keep the batts at 100F post-flight temp.
I used to put a foam rubber plug in one of my two battery air inlets (cheek cowls) for cool weather. Then I went out in freezing weather and taped the second one almost completely over!

The motor and ESC just get happier with cooler temps, and I can't imagine the timers overheating.

Dean and All. I have completed one half of composite wood shell built up wing.
Photo #1 LFCS lost foam composite shell. Bottom shell in bottom foam cradle,ribs and spars installed top shell taped in place.
