Well, shucks! Now that the cat is out of the bag, I guess I can reveal my conversion to  the E side of life. This is a de-ARFed Legacy, extensively modified (structure, not aerodynamics) and strengthened. I will post some photos later. Basic data is: AXi 2826-10, PH-45 ESC, Zippy 2650 4S 20C (probably not enough), FM-9 timer, Hubin programmer, APC 12-6EP (but still want to try the 13-4.5 at higher revs). We settled on 10,900 rpm to produce 5.2 sec laps with this setup on 65' lines.

This model is incredible! Flew wings level with no adjustments (1.5 oz tip wt), grooved dead level upright and inverted. With almost zero practice on a totally new plane still being trimmed I flew the best square maneuvers of my stunt career, inside and out; line tension in overheads excellent. Granted, this in no-wind conditions so not sure what to expect when normal windy conditions return, but sure looks promising. I am a mid-level advanced flyer so want to have an expert fly it or at least watch it in flight. We have one or two available here in NorCal.

Note the rubber bands holding the cowl in place, sort of. Dope was still wet on it too. This will be fixed soon. Rain on the final flight did not seem to affect the components. Two people I need to thank in particular: Alan Brickhaus for designing this terrific model, and Larry Wong for his constant help and encouragement. And needling.

Two more pix. Mike let me fly his new plane and it is a great flying plane, thanks to Will Hubin's timer FM-9 we could set the time and speed of each flight for testing, that a plus over IC ...
