Title: New APC 12" Wide Pusher
Post by: Dennis Adamisin on December 08, 2011, 07:42:34 AM
Well APC has finally been able to get to work on the new 12" pusher.   CLP** HH%%

Reviewing: This is a wide blade drop-in replacement for the thin blade 12x6EP that would also run at the 8300-8400 RPM speed.  It was predicated by successes learned with clipped 13" props AND is also targeted for those apps running roughly 1000-1200 RPM slower than needed with a clipped 13x5.5.  APC has been devloping wide blade props for the Giant Pattern folks to replace 3-bladers.  The new prop should offer greater thrust & braking for those using the popular AXI 2826/12.

Could not get an overlay, but attached is a side-by-side profile comparison.  Expectation is to go forward pretty quickly, should have samples by the end of the year, hopefully get some warm weather test results soon thereafter.

Whatcha think???
