Hi Bruce:
Yes, Voltaire was an extraordinary man, and courageous to boot.
Your VoltAire looks great! The round fuselage with a turtledeck could not have been an easy build but the result is worth the effort. Is that a foam wing, or sheeted over a built up structure? And most important, any flights yet? Looks like you live in a rural area so probably no complaints from the neighbors about the buzzing sound of the prop. I'm sure the members here would like to hear about how you constructed the model.
I wish I had thought of "VoltAire" first, but c'est la vie!
Mike,
Thanks. Both planes are currently as pictured. The beta might be ready to go in a few weeks (need to fix some paint boo-boos, apply the ink-jet decals and shoot some clear dope.) The alpha model has a built-up, sheeted wing. I don't want to get too excited until air-worthiness is determined
