Ok guys here is my first electric. It is a old hangar queen that I gutted the nose out to fit all the electron stuff. I know its is butt ugly but this is me learning how all this stuff works. I dont have anyone else close by that could help. It has been me asking a lot of dumb question and making phone calls. Had to call Tom's tech support line just this morning to only have him tell me to push the start button as i turn on the programmer. HB~>
Any way i got two, one minute bench runs. Now to see if i can find a close place to test it out today. #^

And yes the first bench runs were inverted.
Got to love this IOS HB~>

Looks good Paul, just what you need to figure things out, you will enjoy the dependable motor runs

Way to go Paul!! You will not be sorry you have come over to the electric side!! Oh yes, that is a beauty queen next to my first electric conversion back in 2006!!!

You'll like it! I dipped my toe in the amps with an ARF Super Clown and Brodak's turn key package. The electric part of it does real well, but the Clown part of it leaves something to be desired. It's a great sport flyer, but that's about it. No noise, no slime, and consistent power. What's not to like?

PT -- What E set up did you use ?

Whats interesting is what prop to use. I am using a 12X6 electric APC on mine. My test flights were with a cut down 11 1/2 X 6 prop but it didn't have enough bite so went to the larger prop and the tip of the prop made a really big difference in performance. Once you get this to run the way you want it it is a plug and play package and dont have inconsistent runs like you do with IC. The flights are really labour intensive because you cannot sit back and enjoy the level flight like you do with IC. Good luck and hope everything works like it is supposed to. Good JOB.
