Well I will be in this section in the coming months. I will try and do a search for my answers but please forgive me when I start asking a lot of newbie questions.
I made the decision to go electric this week while at Brodaks and here is why.
In Profile I put in a good pattern, then had a over run of 00:08:20. In N30 I had a under run. Plane ran out of fuel in the hour glass.  In PA I had a under run on the second flight. Used same amount of fuel on first flight. While trying to get a needle setting on my Vector two flights it went lean and ran FOREVER!
So all my problems were IC related. Guess what no more! I will still fly my ICs but as I learn electric I may sell off my IC to pay for the conversion.

Hi James,I was a judge in training at Brodak for expert classic/n-30 and got to see both of Jim's flights.His Volunteer was tracking very well even in the shifting wind conditions.There was also a Yellow Volunteer a fella had that looked very good in the air as well.Post some pics so we can see the progress.And don't forget the tail wheel pant It just won't be a Volunteer without it.

That other volunteer belongs to Bryon Rahilly from our club. Jim worked with Bryon on his. That wide gear makes for some killer landing.

Welcome to the "dark side," Paul. I have been flying electric 3 seasons now and have lost interest in flying my IC planes altogether. I built a couple new ones last winter (nostalgia trip), hung them on the wall....and there they will stay. I have no interest in fooling with them. This stuff is addictive.
