Beautiful plane! Do you have any photos of the electronic/motor install that you could post?

Hi Jose:

Can you comment on your battery hold-down system? Looks very simple and quick to operate. Have you any more photos of that part of the model?

Very pretty plane,  unusual color combination and decoration.

I wouldn't recommend using a metal or aluminium hold down on a battery pack - although it works - if you happen to have an unexpected impact with the ground - you are sure to short that pack out and get some nice "venting in flames"

Use ply or similar as a hold down - looks like the system would work either way - just not a fan of metal near LiPos'

see Bob Hunts hold down method - or the one i did on my last vector  - really easy to use and very little weight -

The item looks like plastic to me; strong, safe and non conductive. Maybe Jose will let us in on the details. I use a lite ply sliding door to hold my battery in place. I was inspired by Bob's hold down system, anything but velcro! (Er, "hook and loop fasteners.")

Guys/Jose
That looks like circuit board material and it looks like a very simple and elegant way to hold-down a battery.  I suspect it has a bit of Velcro on the bottom of the battery.  I think I will steal this idea for my next airplane.  Good job on the entire airplane Jose.  I too will have an invisible landing gear on my next one as I just can’t bring myself to paint the nice carbon fiber landing gear and wheel pants.

Thank you, nice photos and such a cool looking plane-great job!

Must be going right over my head but what are these "invisible landing gear" you guys keep joking about??   ???

in all the pictures in this post - you cannot see the landing gear - but the plane is off the ground - only explantion is that he made them invisible......maybe with ACME invisible paint.......

speaking of paint - that purple is a nice colour......I LIKE IT !!!

Wynn,

You need to crank up the resolution on your monitor or maybe consider a trade up. I can see the landing gear just fine on my monitor -- well OK maybe not in ALL the photos.  #^

John

yeah - just cranked the brightness up to a level just below "sun glare" and I can see it now......

Thank you everyone for the nice comments.
The batteries atachemnt system is based on the one used to attach the body to the rest of the car in RC car models...exactly, the mounting plate is made in circuit board material, and the plate size battery contact is protected whit  adhesive foam.
I will follow your advice and change the metal part for a plastic one.
I would never paint a cf landind gear!!! That is sacrilegeous!!!  n1 n1
