What cell voltage should be used when setting the low voltage cutoff in the ESC? I can do the math for whatever number of cells I'm using. It needs to be high enough to protect the battery but low enough so that it won't activate at inopportune moments. There's nothing more useless than a protection device set too conservatively. I don't plan on running my batteries that low, it's just for 'senior moment' protection.
Thanks.

I set mine to 3.0v per cell and a soft cutoff. I see no problem to going even lower (2.8V per cell). I've written about this many times before and YES I know I'm technically wrong. But a hard cutoff and a higher cutoff work well for RC uses but not for CL!!! I fly by the "destroy a battery" before a plane theory as batteries are way easier to replace than a plane.

I'm with Will on this one!
