Thanks MM, Randy and Joe.
So, Joe, I'm wondering if I drop the kv rating, sticking with either the 3520, or even dropping to the 3515, and choose a 5S pack, maybe less capacity, what the difference would be?
I know that W=A x V, so in theory, the same wattage can be had (enough to pull the plane well) by using a lower kv rated motor, and probably the same weight battery, with more cells, less capacity....
But, the question comes down to, "What will be the advantage or disadvantage, really, what will be the difference in the system"?
My gut says that a higher voltage system may be more efficient and produce less heat? A lower rated esc might also weigh less and be smaller and still run the system.
I wonder, I'm sure someone has used a higher kv motor on 4S, svc the same motor with a lower kv on 5S; I would love to hear their impression of this in the same plane.
R,
Chris
