I know it is considered politically correct to trash Model Aviation because of the lack of control line articles but I wanted to give them a "good job" pat on the back. I just received the Oct issue of MA last evening. As I was glancing through it I saw this month's "Lipo Battery Basics" write up. This is a continuing series of articles done on lipo batteries that have provided invaluable knowledge. The Oct write up concentrates mostly on what to do to store or dispose of the batteries and it has some really good stuff in it.

For any of you who have not been reading and saving this series of articles I strongly suggest that you check them out. There are some real "gems" in them. After reading this month's article I learned that CA, where I happen to love, has laws regarding the disposal of lipo batteries and also has collection centers where I can dispose of my batteries. Important stuff to know!

Did he tell you how to separate the wheat from the chaff?

I liked the articles also, there are lots of topics the Model Aviation covers that CL pilots can use, just because it was designed for RC doesn't mean we can use the parts in our planes! I have lots of RC technology on my CL scale models for the electric power and 2.4 Ghz controls.
