Phoenix 80 ESC
«

I purchased a Castle Phoenix 80 last year at a swap meet for next to nothing in cost. The unit is new in the package with a manufacture date of June 2008. I want to build an electric powered Vector 40 with either an E-Flite 15 or 25. Is it advisable for me to use this ESC or should I get an Edge 50 and be done with it.
Thanks
Peter Mick

Functionally it should be OK, will accept the programming & such. I was surprised to see the dimension comparison:
Phoenix 80: .45" x 1.05" x 2.65", weight 2.1 oz.
Phoenix Edge Lite 50: .90" x 1" x 2", weight 2.0 oz.

Hey, I'm using an E-Flight Power 32 in a 660 square inch plane. And in a 610 square inch plane for that matter.
