Hi All, Humble apologies for the lack of stock of my timers at RSM. What happened was that there were zero PIC processor chips in stock anywhere. In December last year Microchip informed me that there would be a 52 week waiting period for delivery. The whole semiconductor industry has been shut down by the Covid crises, or should I say, the bad management (intentional?) of it. So now there are shortages of all semiconductors. Sadly the prices have all gone up as well, but I did try hard to keep the price reasonable.
I eventually found a few hundred chips in California a few months ago but they were a slightly bigger package so I took them anyway and decided to lay out a new pc board. this is now all done and I will be delivering stock to Mike at RSM next week. The replacement for my original chip will evidently be available in October so I should not run out of stock any time soon. Thanks for your patience!
