I am most likely the newest "newbie" to the electric scene.  I now have ten flights so I guess I can say something about it.  This is my third KISS the first being a Fancherized Twister, the second a modified profile Cardinal with a piped Magnum .36 and now this! 
   In September I started building a Shrike wing with an increase of about seventeen square inches.  Soon after I attended the final contest of the season in Salem, Oregon with marginal engine runs with my RoJett .61 ending a season of frustration.  The project went on hold for awhile until I finished my new classic model.  About the second week of December after some idle conversation at a social event I made the decision to make the jump.  I called a local guy who seems to have a pretty good handle on electric models and asked for his help.  He gave me a list and I proceeded.  This is what I ended up with.

power is Plettenberg 20-16, ESC Shultze 18.46 F2B, Hubin FM-9R timer Battery Thunderpower Pro Lite V2 TP2600 V2

I'm pretty sure I can say without exaggerating that it is my best flying airplane to date.  Yesterday was windy and turbulent and still no loss of line tension where you would expect it.  So far I am a very happy camper.

13x4.5 APC, 63 feet eye to eye, 5.2 sec laps
Total mAh per flight are averaging about 1850

Welcome to ECL.  WOW, Kiss ES looks GREAT!  That is a great power spec too - no worries there.

If you have not already, could you post all the specs on "Kiss" in the "List your set-ups" sticky thread at the top of the forum?  That has been a real good source for info and cross-checking different set-ups.

Yeah Norm, as a matter of fact last night I was looking in a drawer full of motors that most likely won't get used.  The colors are all House of Kolor candy concentrate over Randolph silver.  The red is clear Candy Apple Red, really not quite as bright in person.

Mike,

Outstanding airplane!  With only a few flights you've just begun to find the pleasures of electric.  There will be new flying fields, days where you just go flying all by yourself and listen to music in between and during flights.  Tuning you setup on the kitchen table with no complaints about noise, smell or oil dripping (note: take all the pictures off the wall before you run the motor).  When its time to leave the field just put the plane in the car, no clean up necessary.  See you in a couple of weeks.

The colors are fabulous.  Wonder if I can get thouse colors in Monokote.  If I ever get to move up to the Northwest I'll start painting airplane like you and Pete.
