I realize that cl modelsneed a lot more power than rc models. What I am wondering is if any of you electric flyers have looked at the FFF models and wondered if you could put a bellcrank on them and fly one.
I have seen some videos were some of the models fly quite well and very faast for their size.
An f-22 with the prop in the middle of the wing might be quite interesting.
Though routing the bellcrank may be somewhat problematic. since the prop is in the center of the body and you may need to route it around the cutout to get there.
So has anybody considered these models ?

Hi Jim,

Yes, it has been done many times. Several designs have been in Flying Models mag. over the past few years. Bob Hunt and friends fly them.

Use the search function at the upper right on each page and search for Igor's fantastic FFF CL planes, there are some awesome videos of his indoor flights.

fff is fan fold foam. models often are flat but some are very detailedand far from flat,
here's an example.
